Abstract :
A novel stealth Vivaldi antenna is proposed in this paper that covers the entire X-band from 8 to 12 GHz. Based on the difference of the current distribution on the metal patch when the antenna radiates or scatters, the shape of the patch is modified so that the electromagnetic scattering is significantly decreased in a wide angle range within the entire operating band. Maximally 14dBsm radar cross section (RCS) reduction is achieved with satisfactory radiation performance maintained.
