Abstract :
One direction for the development of generators of electromagnetic oscillations is based on the use of relativistic electron beams. The resonance linear accelerator is the basic element of such devices. The quality of the electron beam at the exit of the accelerator is determined by the injector system in which it is formed. Injection systems based on radio frequency electron guns let us obtain the highest quality beams. A radio frequency electron gun is designed using a numerical model. The equation systems, numerical realization and examples of the calculation of different operating modes are presented. The simulation results agree with experimental ones. This allows us to recommend the model for the design of devices with the set parameters and described experimental results.
