Abstract :
A 2-iteration Sierpinski equilateral triangle monopole antenna with Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSSR)-based ground plane is proposed for dual-band wireless local area network (WLAN) operations. The proposed antenna effectively covers both 2.4 GHz (2.4-2.48 GHz) and 5 GHz (5.15-5.825 GHz) bands. The good agreement between simulated and measured radiation patterns show that the antenna obtain an omnidirectional radiation performance at both of the two bands. Furthermore, the structure is compact in size and convenient in fabrication.
