Abstract :
Data from leg drop pendulum test of twenty limbs is presented. Ten of the limbs were without disability and ten were of children with spastic cerebral palsy. All data was collected while the subjects were under general anesthesia and had been given muscle relaxants. It was clear from visual inspection of the data that all spastic reflexes were removed under anesthesia. All data was fit with a second order linear equation and optimized for values of stiffness (K) and damping (B). These two parameters were then plotted against limb mass and the data was fit with 2nd order polynomials. Results show that the spastic group had slightly elevated values of stiffness and damping than the nondisabled control group but overall the shape of the curves were the same.
