Abstract :
This paper reports on an analytical calculation method for planar multi-wire coils. The parallel connection of coil wires leads to high inductance values with a moderate DC resistance. The developed calculation algorithm has been validated with multi-wire coils fabricated on a printed circuit board. The error between measurement and calculation is below 10%.
