Abstract

The combination of Data Warehouse (DW) and On-line Analysis Processing (OLAP) technology opens the new way for the Decision Support System (DSS) and obtains more and more applications. Analyze the relevant knowledge of DW and OLAP and research the application of OLAP in student performance analysis system making use of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Analysis Services. Discover the relevant information by analyzing displayed result of the multidimensional data sets. Provide practical reference of improving teaching quality and optimizing teaching resources for the decision-maker.
