Abstract :
A novel extended taper coaxial line based on a compound function is presented. The function is constructed by Exponential function, Linear function and Sine function(ELS-taper). Analysis of various taper functions have been carried out. And the simulated result of the proposed taper using HFSS is compared with others. The ELS-taper line proven that it can conveniently adjust the S parameters by changing the parameters of the equation, and has low VSWR and low IL. The measured results are found to agree closely with the simulation results.
