Abstract
A wideband waveguide-to-suspended microstrip line transition using an improved antipodal finline for energy transferring, is presented. To improve the bandwidth and impedance matching, tapered structure is employed. The transition achieves over the specified 180GHz~230GHz wideband range, with its return loss better than 20dB and insertion loss less than 0.2dB, which can be widely used in the circuits of suspended microstrip line at the low frequency end of terahertz.
