Abstract
Some large and sudden disturbances like three phase fault and short circuits occurring near power station can result in system instability. For this, a new method, which can improve the transient stability and stabilize system by coordinating of fast valves and SVC is proposed in this paper. It can keep enough power and synchronization, avoid shedding generators under severe faults and finally realize stability and reliability of the system. The proposed approach has been applied to a 4-machine, 11-bus system, and its effectiveness is verified by the simulation results.
