Abstract :
This paper is about a multicast QoS Control scheme in EPON system. To provide QoS assurance for multicast traffic in EPON system, especially for video service, multicast group address based QoS control and IP layer to physical layer QoS transfer control are implemented in EPON system. The multicast group address based QoS control means the system can assure QoS on base of multicast group address info. The IP layer to physical layer QoS transfer control means the system can set physical QoS directly by using IP layer info. Three ways for this technique are explained. And an experiment system is introduced then. Finally this paper concludes that this technique provides QoS assurance for multicast traffic in EPON system.
