Abstract
Recently we reported on the evaluation and development of sensors for the online monitoring of lubrication oil, aiming at the determination of physical and chemical oil properties, which can be used as indicators for the ageing of the oil. Three of these sensor principles (microacoustic viscosity sensor, permittivity sensor, and a novel corrosion sensor) now have been applied online in biogas fueled stationary engines in order to conduct long-term field tests. In the present contribution, we report results and experiences gained from field tests on bio-gas engines.
