Abstract
As a case example of Open Mission Critical System (OMCS), we have developed Parallel Stream Architecture (PSA) as an infrastructure of super Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) that is capable of processing several tens of thousands of events per second, which is required for billing system, stock price information distribution system, etc. in the mobile computing age, and was not available by traditional mainframe (MF) or open system. PSA is an advanced system model that achieved memory processing as OLTP of enterprise systems. This paper explains the architecture of the PSA system model in comparison with the traditional OLTP, and describes that PSA becomes important as a prospective system model for enterprise system with mission critical capability to process a large number of events.
