Abstract :
A design of single-layer frequency selective surface (FSS) is presented for multiband characteristics. The novel frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) are composed by a periodic array based on the structure of the fractal pinwheel tilings on the top of a dielectric substrate. FSS resonant performance of the square solid patch is improved by the combined pinwheel tilings. Comparison and analysis are presented based on simulated results of transmission coefficients with FSS structures of fractal iteration.
