Abstract

The software industry has progressively developed towards a product business in recent years. Companies have increasing difficulties in managing all the delivered “old” product versions and the development of the “new” product versions efficiently at the same time. Software configuration management (SCM) provides some capable means for managing these problems, but it has also some limitations.
