Abstract :
In recent years sensors in modern mobile phones enables a range of people-centric applications. This paper provides the system called as Phone Point Pen. This system use built in accelerometer in mobile phone to recognize human writing. Simply by holding the phone like pen, user should be able to draw short message or draw simple diagrams in air. The acceleration due to hand gesture can be translated into strokes, and identified as characters. The proposed prototype uses the system Phone Point Pen on mobile phone that has built-in accelerometer to write information in the air, and evaluates it through real users. Results show that the Marathi characters are identified with an average accuracy and these character or words can be send to the user computer screen for his later remind, if the user is conformed to a few reasonable constraints. Future work is focus on refining the prototype, with the goal of offering a new user experience that complements keyboards and touch screens.
