Abstract
The performance of Interleave Division Multiple Access (IDMA) with a new set of low rate turbo codes is evaluated on Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and Rician fading channels. Despite the simplicity of the scheme and excessive multiuser interference, very good performance close to theoretical limit is demonstrated. The effect of varying number of users, code rate and channel characteristics on the performance is investigated.
