Abstract :
This paper proposes an integrated optimization scheme to coordinate the preventive control and emergency control in order to improve the transient stability in power systems. A linear mixed integer programming model, based on the sensitivity methods of Transient Energy Function, is presented to tackle dynamic security dispatching problems. The approach is tested on a 36-bus power system. The results show that the proposed comprehensive scheme can deal with the problem of transient stability effectively, and it is compatible with operation requirements in practical systems.
