Abstract
This paper presents new mathematical analysis of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) in the presence of carrier frequency offset (CFO) and frequency selective Rician fading, which leads to new exact expression for the average capacity with and without channel state information (CSI) at transmitter. As far as the effect of CFO on the average capacity of OFDM in frequency selective fading is concerned, our numerical results indicate that correlations among subcarriers have little affect on the average capacity.
