Abstract
Results of experimental study and theoretical analysis of spectral characteristics of "whispering gallery" HE mode waves are presented for a disc quasi-optical dielectric resonator (QDR) with liquid-filled capillary as a heterogeneity. The character of QDR eigenfrequency dependence with different liquids is different with capillary diameter change. The mentioned feature similarity for water and metal are characterized by opposite signs of the frequency shift depending on wave mode, either HE or EH.
