  • Abstract
    On-line monitoring of fault discharges is an important approach for indicating the condition of electrical insulation of large generators. In this paper, several key aspects of on-line monitoring systems are discussed, involving the characteristics of fault discharges in large generators, interference suppression, pattern recognition of fault discharges, and practical application of digital fault discharge on-line monitoring systems
