Abstract
Generation of pulses by a given source is considered in paraxial approximation. It is shown that well-known Gaussian pulses as well as more exotic Airy pulses can be generated by an appropriate current. All these results are obtained by virtue of the Green´s function, which is derived in paraxial approximation. Peculiarities of Airy pulses in comparison with Gaussian ones are considered.
