Abstract :
Determination of a factor that provides an adequate margin of compliance with applied electromagnetic interference (EMI) limits is critical in a dynamic competitive marketplace. A factor that is too large will impose excessive costs on product design, whereas too small a factor exposes a product to the risk of noncompliance with regulatory standards with all the attendant ramifications attached. In both of these events excessive liability can be incurred
