Abstract
In this paper a new approach based on genetic algorithm (GA) for measurement-type current transformer (CT) design has been presented. This algorithm can present designed parameters of sample current transformer so that minimizes ratio and phase displacement errors to 1.2 times of rated current and transformer made cost also. Finally, several current transformers with different rated values are designed and results show that the proposed approach can be used for optimal design of current transformer perfectly.
