  • Abstract
Travelling wave induction heating systems (TWIH) have many advantages which, in some applications, could make this kind of heating more profitable in comparison with other known systems. A typical application of these inductors is the continuous heating of thin metal sheets. In the paper a 2D FEM code has been used with reference to a double-side TWIH in order to analyse the possibility of influencing the value and distribution of the power transferred to the strip through the control of the relative position of the upper and lower inductor and the use of different winding arrangements
