Abstract :
Nowadays, high voltage pulses are used in a wide range of fields and there is different method it which one of this method is high voltage pulse generation based on DC-DC converters. Different parameters can affect the high voltage pulse generator operation which among them we can mention the load type, circuit parameters and etc. In this study, the effect of the load type on the pulse generator operation has been investigated. For this purpose, one type of this generator is designed and simulated in PSPICE. The impact of different loads such as resistive, inductive-resistive and no-load is simulated and characteristics of produced pulse (like rise time, pulse width and fall time) for each state are obtained and compared. Finally, to verify the simulation result, the simulated pulse generator is constructed and the obtained results are compared to simulation results.
