Abstract
New possibilities are open to the field of high voltage impulse tests. Nowadays the use of digital recorders, in high voltage laboratories, is quite common. This allows the use of a personal computer to make the evaluation of the tests results. However, due to the presence of disturbance, the software must include processing techniques that will allow better waveshapes to be obtained, to which the evaluation procedure given by the international standards can be directly applied. This paper deals with the use of frequency domain techniques to perform the processing
