  • Abstract
    This paper describes an inter-channel rate control method for an H.264/AVC multi-channel video encoder. The proposed method makes it possible to encode each video to the same subjective image quality by adaptively changing the encoders´ target bit rates in accordance with the characteristics of each video. At BD-bitrate it improves the coding efficiency obtained with constant bit rate coding by about 7.04 %.
