  • Abstract
    Some mobile communication impairments and techniques to combat them are investigated. We use two different scenarios for this purpose: spread spectrum and non-spread spectrum. We show that both techniques can be used to remove the bad effects of mobile radio communication if properly designed. Hybrid direct sequence/frequency hopping spread spectrum is used for the first scenario and equalization and diversity combining is used for the second one. Modulation, frequency bands, diversity, equalization and other parameters to be used in a mobile radio environment are investigated included in these two different scenarios
