Abstract :
Reports an investigation on the design and optimization of interferometric sensor circuits consisting of lumped element or distributed forward or reverse couplers, partially reflecting interfaces and optical transmission lines. From these building blocks a wide variety of sensors have been constructed and analyzed using a commercially available software. The design philosophy and an overview of results are presented
