  • Abstract
Lead in the city atmosphere is mainly from vehicle exhaust. Since the late 1970s, the developed countries have banned the use of the lead-containing gasoline, and China has banned the use of lead-containing gasoline since July of 2000, and used the lead-free gasoline to purify the air. In order to find out the difference of lead content in environment after replacing lead-containing gasoline with lead-free gasoline, the lead contents in leaves collected from different function areas in Yuexiu District were determined using AAS in this paper. The probable reasons of the difference of the lead content in different areas were also analyzed. This research is very significant in both practical and social point of view.
