Abstract :
Examination of the AVHRR derived sea surface temperature (SST) is carried out in the oceans around Japan. The MCSSTs (Multi-Channel SSTs) are compared with the in situ SSTs from various platforms. The revealed seasonal biases between them are discussed in detail
