Abstract :
This paper presents high-frequency current-fed fuel-cell inverter for residential loads. The front-end high-frequency current-fed dc/dc converter presents zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of all switches for wide variation in fuel cell stack voltage and output power. Rectifier diodes undergo zero-current switching. It results in increased efficiency of the system. Load-connected inverter is operated using modified SPWM, which results in lower total harmonic distortion (THD) of output/load current. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the performance of the system under varying load and input voltage.
