Abstract :
The concept of a large adaptive reflector is described briefly, and a novel feed system introduced. The feed is based on the near field focusing properties of the reflector antennas. By utilization of the equal path law, the sub-reflector profile is obtained, and approximated with the best fitted hyperbola. The radiation pattern of the system is achieved by using physical optics techniques along with the body of revolution.
