Abstract :
Some new aspects are examined considering an indirect field oriented current source inverter-fed induction motor (CSI-IM) drive. The difference between the final reference signals is determined. The proper place for limitations is found. The role of the torque angle in the field orientation is shown. A new simple method is presented for rotor resistance identification. It is a semi-on-line method, based on the measured torque, modifying the standard control scheme. The limits of application are determined. The theories are confirmed by test results on a microcomputer-DSP controlled experimental drive
