Abstract
In this paper, the transient stability of micro-grids in presence of various types and numbers of IGWTs (induction generator wind turbines) and DFIGWTs (doubly fed induction generator wind turbines) under two strategies based on power system operational constraints is attended. To investigate a comprehensive study on stability performance of the test system, its critical clearance time (tcr) is estimated by a fast and acceptably accurate method. Simulations show that the stability performance of micro-grid is not only determined by type and number of wind turbines, but also is assigned by power system operational constraints effectively.
