Abstract :
Electronic equipment for control of infrared heaters operation has been developed. Low inert infrared heaters with high emissivity (about 0.9) have been made from thin metal sheets. They have been warmed up directly by electric current rectangular pulses. The electronic management which has been proposed allows to control independently the duration of the pulse and the pause between the pulses in range of 0.5 + 40 s. At this conditions the temperature of the heaters varies continuously between Tmin to Tmax in wide range so that ensures emission spectra maxima in the spectral region between 3.5 μm and 5 μm. As a result the temperatures Tmin and Tmax, the power of the emissivity spectra of the heaters can be controlled and adjusted to the absorption power of the annealing products. It makes the equipment suitable for optimization of technological process and allows reducing considerably energy consumption.
