Abstract :
In this paper, a simplified model of a micro-turbine, used as distributed generator, is obtained. The model is suitable for investigating the effects of inverter modulation index on the stability of micro-turbines. The proposed model is built from the nonlinear dynamic model of a micro-turbine and then linearized. The linear model is also simplified. To illustrate the proposed model, a sample micro-turbine connected to the grid under three different load conditions is simulated using MATLAB Simulink Toolbox.
