Abstract
Poor selectivity of chemical resistive gas sensors is often mentioned as one of their main defects. In order to improve their parameters, especially sensitivity and selectivity, added modifying admixtures to gas sensitive materials cause the change in physicochemical parameters depending on the technique of admixing that can be either volume or surface modification. The paper presents results of thermoprogrammed reduction of applied materials and sensor technique. Reducibility of the materials depends both on the material and a kind of admixture used for modification of parent substance. The research studies have shown that single-phase material as far as structure is concerned shows two areas of reducibility characteristic for basic components.
