Abstract :
In this paper, we propose ´EMPT´ an Energy Efficient MAC Protocol in TDMA environment for multi hop broadcast with a trickle support for Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks. Our protocol is a distributive algorithm for cluster formation and cluster-head selection with a very low over head. The cluster-head schedules time slots for all data transmitting nodes within the cluster and also broadcast the code periodically, when it has free data slot. Consequently, it achieves high throughput as well as effective spatial reusability. Our algorithm reduces the multiple transmissions of data packets by using metadata.
