Abstract :
It is very important for power systems to execute emergency control when large disturbances occur in the systems. Based on the principles of switching control, a new switching model is first formulated for a two-machine power system in this paper. Then, the new model, called switched two-machine power system, is expressed as the form of a switched dissipative Hamiltonian system, and the stability analysis is carried out for the system. Simulations on a two-machine power system show that the new results obtained in this paper are very practicable.
