Abstract :
The responsivity of a Golay cell detector for continuous-wave 2.52 THz radiation is measured under the modulation frequency from 2 to 50 Hz. Theoretical analysis of the detector output signal is performed by modeling the detection process as a response to a sequence of rectangular pulses. Calibration of the detector with different input powers is achieved by using a thermopile calorimeter as the reference. Our work provides experimental evidence for the power measurement of terahertz radiation with a calibrated Golay detector.
