Abstract :
Analyzes the probability of false alarm performance of the well known cell averaging constant false alarm rate, CA-CFAR, and order statistics OS-CFAR processors in the nonhomogeneous clutter environment where the power of the clutter varies linearly along the range cells. Exact false alarm probability expressions are derived and in the numerical examples, several cases are considered such that the linearly variant part of the clutter power occupies less than, equal to, or more than the reference window of the CFAR processor
