Abstract
In Jacquard looms, the design to be weaved is determined by a perforated card. The machine perforating these cards is controlled, in turn, by the color textile design on paper, which is digitized by a color scanner. The output produced by the color scanner contains 24-bits of color and is at a higher spatial resolution than desired. We use vector quantization for color quantization and reduction of spatial resolution
