Abstract
Frequency up-conversion has been proved to be very effective in THz generation. Reverse physical process can serve THz detection. Based on our in-house characterization of DAST crystal and previous intense studies of monochromatic THz generation, we propose an ultra-wideband THz detection approach by using frequency up-conversion technique, which may work from around 2 THz, up to 28 THz at room temperature, accompanied with a high sensitivity.
