  • Abstract
The stability analysis of the large optical facility support structures requires for refined math and physics modeling methodology, high performance application software and powerful computers. The structure characteristics and the computer hardware and software requirements for tability analysis of the large optical facility were investigated. Base on the basic service components provided by an engineering mechanics application software framework PANDA, a special application program for stability analysis is developed rapidly. The testing examples show that the developed program was capable of utilizing hundreds of CPUs on supercomputer to perform large-scale parallel structural mechanics analysis and speed up engineering development processes.
