Abstract :
In switching regulators, a magnetic snubber connected to the output diode effectively suppresses spike voltage of the diode and output voltage noise. The principle theory is described and three types of magnetic snubbers are compared. The three types include snubbers incorporating ferrite beads, amorphous beads, and a high-rectangular reactor (spike killer). Newly developed amorphous beads are emphasized
