Abstract
A new circuit technique is presented to achieve extended low-frequency operation for integrated circuit amplifiers in which the maximum value of decoupling capacitor is restricted by processing technology limitations. Details are provided of a wideband HBT 50 Ω output buffer stage for a photo-diode preamplifier which embodies this active decoupling technique for bandwidth extension
