Abstract :
The design of a triple-band planar monopole antenna is proposed. This antenna covers IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g WLAN bands. Since the antenna is printed on a substrate, it can be easily integrated with the associated microstrip circuits lying on the same plane of the substrate. The antenna has been designed by using IE3D, a full wave MoM simulator from Zeland, USA. The characteristics of the antenna are obtained in terms of return loss, pattern etc. and are found to be suitable for application in wireless devices.
