Abstract :
To investigate the effect of ursolic acid glycoside esters (UAGE) on blood lipid of animal and its acute toxicity, UAGE was synthesized and its hHypolipidemic effect was studied. ICR mice were used to build the model of hyperlipoidemia. The ursolic acid glucose ester was feed to the test animal to study the effect of hypolipidemic effect by measurement of the index of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c). The acute toxicity of UAGE on mice was also observed. The results shown that UAGE remarkably decreased the serum TC, TG and increased the serum HDL-c of mices. The virtually non-toxic dose of UAGE in mice was less than 25 g/kg .This shown that ursolic acid glucose ester has the function of hypolipidemic effect and has higher safety. It could be developed a new function food components.
