  • Abstract
    This paper deals with design and development of waveguide type dual directional coupler for S-band linear accelerator at spot frequency 2.998 GHz with VSWR, coupling factor, and return loss of f 1.1, 60 dB, and 20 dB, respectively. The HFSS software is used for computation of diameter of holes and positions. Based on design, all parts of coupler are fabricated and finally the coupler is developed and tested. The theoretical values of coupling factor and VSWR are found to be 56 dB and 1.08, respectively, whereas, experimental values of coupling factor, VSWR and return loss are found to be 1.005, 70 dB, and 28 dB, respectively.
